Haircuts For Wavy Hair - 5 Tips For a Longer Lasting Perm

Getting haircuts for wavy hair brings with it some responsibility to your hair, and to yourself. There are some things you need to do to make sure you take care of it, especially if you go and get a perm next.

1. Only get touch ups as need, don't go getting a full perm again, unless of course you really need it. If you are taking proper care of it, this shouldn't happen for awhile. Remember, perms in general can be pretty damaging to your hair, as the chemicals used are pretty powerful, and should only be used if ABSOLUTELY necessary.

2. A lot of people make the mistake of washing their hair inside of 24 hours. It takes about 24 hours for the curls to settle, and develop fully, if you wash it too soon, you will lose the perm. Don't wash it for at least 24 hours, and it can last you for months

3. Make sure you are using hair products that promote curly and wavy hair, this will prolong the life off all those wonderful curls.

4. An important thing to remember is that when you get your perm done, the chemicals strip your hair of its natural oils, and moisture, so it needs to be replaced. Each morning, make sure you are careful and gently comb your hair, as you do not want to undo the curls. And again, make sure you use products that promote curls, these will be the ones that take out the frizz, and moisten your hair.

5. Want to enhance your new perm? Maybe give yourself a new sultry look with those waves? All you gotta do is scrunch.

With these 5 tips you just learned, your perm will last longer, while your hair will stay healthy and vibrant, for a very long time.
